ODA

Alvatross was born when TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture was more a concept than a reality. We are not only believers, but also early adopters.

Our industry-leading capabilities will streamline your processes: Launch innovative services and boost your business growth with an ODA mindset.

Driving
the Standards

We strive to innovate, learn, and have an impact through the ODA ecosystem.
Our team is involved in the following initiatives:

The ODA-CA
(Component Accelerator)

We have deployed our Product Order Manager (POM) into the ODA Canvas successfully overcoming all CTKs. We collaborate in the development of the canvas to:

Build a test platform for ODA Components,

establish ODA Reference Implementation(s),

accelerate the ODA Standards.

Component definition:
Service Order Management (SOM)

We collaborate with other TM Forum members to define the SOM component and identify:

The eTOM business processes involved,

the TAM functions it implements,

the SID business objects it owns and uses, and

the Open APIs it provides and consumes.

The IG1228
Collaboration project

UC008: Service and Resource order Management for postpaid mobile subscribers
We explore the order management ODA stack for a mobile postpaid service. In particular, the boundary between the ODA stack and the networking layer (4G and 5G). The purpose of this use case is to identify potential gaps in the standard for this scenario. This has led to the creation of a new component, 'Resource Configuration and Activation,' now under definition. Additionally, the use of asynchronous APIs within an Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) is under exploration.

UC011: Order fallout management
It deals with identifying, assigning, managing, monitoring, and reporting order fallouts. Our goal is to design a consistent approach to fallout across all types of orders while clarifying whether there is a need for this to:
  • become a separate component, and/or
  • have a specific information model and API.
