[Avilés, June 2023] – The Spanish multinational technology company, SATEC Group, will transform the operation and business support systems of Telecom Namibia. The contract was signed on June 22nd during the presentation of Telecom Namibia’s Integrated Business Strategic Plan 2023-2027. The event was attended by various authorities, including Maureen Hinda-Mbuende, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises of the Namibian Government, and Alberto de la Calle García, the Spanish Ambassador to Namibia, along with the presidents of both companies.
The contract between SATEC Group and Telecom Namibia entails the supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of the Operation Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS).
This project will provide a converged platform for Telecom Namibia, for both fixed and mobile services. It will include integrated cloud-based product suites such as billing, revenue management, product management, automated service provisioning, and customer relationships management (CRM).

The initial five-year agreement between SATEC and Telecom Namibia signifies a commitment to innovation, progress, and delivering high-quality services to business and citizens. Moreover, this collaboration sets the stage for future advancements, including the commercial launch of 5G services, Internet of Things (IoT) implementation, network function virtualization, and other cutting-edge technologies.
